A Heavenly Message of Love

There are so many wonderful different ways we can receive messages or signs from our loved ones.   Most mornings I like to draw a card from an oracle card deck for a little guidance or focus for the day.  This morning I used Doreen Virtue's Saints and Angels 44 card deck. The card I drew was CHILD!   One of the meanings is "A child in Heaven is happy and doing well, and is sending you a message of love."  It was very comforting.  My son, Graham, always and forever.

"I love you's" from heaven.

I just had a wonderful message and validation from my angel boy, Graham. I drew an oracle card from Doreen Virtue's "Angel Dreams" deck. There are 55 cards in this deck. I shuffled them a few times and turned over the top card. The card was Passed-Over Loved Ones! Part of the message in this card is "Loved ones in heaven are offering you comfort, guidance, and support. They are sending you messages of love and light." I was so happy to draw this card!
I also drew a card from Doreen Virtue's "Archangel Michael" deck. I drew "Eternal Love!" Part of the specific meaning of this card is "Your loved one in heaven is sending you an "I love you" message. Two different decks with the same loving messages! It was so comforting. I thought that was amazing, but I was in for another wonderful surprise. My daughter is visiting this weekend. She had gone out for a little while. When she returned I asked her if she would like me to draw a card for her. She did, so I shuffled the "Angel Dreams" cards several times and drew a card for her. It was the same card I had drawn, Passed-Over Loved Ones! What are the odds of that happening? There are so many wonderful ways our loved ones in spirit can give us messages! Forever by our sides. ♥

Heart-Shaped Cloud

The other day my husband and I saw this heart-shaped cloud in the sky from our backyard deck.  We took a picture of it to share with a facebook group I am a part of,  http://www.facebook.com/groups/SignsFromOurLovedOnes/  I was thinking that it would be great if I could write a poem about it too.  Members often post photographs of heart shaped clouds they see.  We feel they are one of the ways our loved ones in spirit send us a message of love.  I am pleased to say that I did write a poem. A Love Filled Heart

A heart shaped cloud, brilliantly white,

Came into my line of sight,

While gazing up at a clear blue sky,

There it was drifting by.

A heaven sent sign, a love filled heart,

Closing the distance since we had to part,

Letting me know that you are still here,

A beautiful sign to help feel you near.

A message in the sky given to me,

Because we are connected eternally,

Love is forever, love never ends,

Thank you for the hearts you send.

Chinese Lantern Launch

A few nights ago our local chapter of the Bereaved Parents of the USA held a potluck dinner and Chinese lantern launch in honor of our precious children.  I was inspired to write this poem for it.  The lanterns were white hearts!  It was a very special evening.

 

Chinese Lantern Launch

A special Chinese lantern night,
To reflect our children’s love and light,
Launched into the evening sky,
Glimmering among the stars on high.

Amidst the clouds, up to the moon,
Ascending for our children gone too soon,
Carrying our prayers and all our love,
To our dear ones in the heavens above.

Magical, luminous, sparkling glows,
Like our children’s lives we were blessed to know,
We love you, we miss you, feel our hearts’ wishes,
Sent to you with our love and kisses.

A friend of mine on facebook has a group of 5 ladies including her that make graphics and videos without charge for people who have lost their beloved ones. She just posted this lovely graphic using my Graham's picture.

Love’s Eternal Flame

The years pass and time ticks on,
The world still turns although you are gone,
The pain of losing you cuts deep,
A sorrow forever that I keep.

Love is the cure and the splendor,
Opening doors of faith and wonder,
It’s love that gives strength to move forward with time,
With trust and messages from the divine.

A mother and child united in love,
Here on earth and in Heaven above,

Father's Day 2013

I posted this special framed picture of my husband and children on my facebook page this past Father's Day week end.  It is from the summer of 2006.  My son passed in 2007.   I gave this to my husband for Father's Day 2008.  As so often happens with grief, a wave of sadness suddenly overcame me as I posted this.  The tears flowed.  A little later my husband and I went out for a little while. We stopped at a Starbucks to buy a latte.   I was thinking about Graham and how a person can feel reasonably fine one minute, and then be very sad the next.  As I got out of the car, I saw this small white feather!  I had my husband take this picture so I could share it with everyone.  I am so grateful for my heavenly message of love and comfort today.  We are never alone.  Love to us all on a bittersweet day for many. ♥

Leave a Trail

This quote is very meaningful to me.  I feel that it describes my son, Graham, and the way he lived his life.   I saw this plaque with this quote on it not long after Graham passed.  I bought it and have it in the bathroom my son used.
A few days ago while I was out I decided to have lunch at Panera Bread.   I was by myself and sat at a small table by one of the windows.  I was almost finished eating when I happened to notice the poster that was in the window where I was sitting.  I was very surprised to see the poster had this quote on it!  When I was leaving I looked at the posters in the other windows and they all had different quotes.  Was it coincidence that I sat at this particular window?   I know it was not.  :)  Thank you, Graham, my dearest son.   I am following your trail. ♥

Wings of Angels

I just discovered this heartbreakingly beautiful song, "Wings of Angels," by Judy Collins.  She wrote this for her son who committed suicide.  With love and tears.

Remembrance

I keep this framed Remembrance poem on my son's bedside table.  It's a beautiful message that I work on every day.  I am so grateful for every moment that I had with my son.
