You are in God’s hands now,
No longer in my own,
The most devastating lesson,
I could ever have known.
I did not want to release you,
A mother never does,
My hands still ache to hold you,
To guide and cherish and love.
Only you can truly know,
How I feel each day,
The depth of loss and longing,
Ever since you passed away.
I miss you every moment,
You are always in my thoughts,
There is nothing that I do,
In which you are not a part.
I cannot understand fully,
Life’s purpose or divine plan,
All I know is that I love you,
And you are in God’s hands.
